Jim
Hartley
In
1991, Jim Hartley established an independent consulting
practice in the area of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
His understanding of consumer service markets combined with
his ability to understand new, emerging consumer trends
has allowed him to become a top consultant in the Theme
and Leisure Industry. With over 20 years of sales and business
development experience, he has become a proven revenue producer
for product developers and services providers alike.
Mr.
Hartley came to the Theme and Leisure Industry from a successful
sales and marketing career in the construction industry.
Joining Atlanta- based Vistascope Corporation, a large-format
film based attraction developer, as Vice President of Sales
and Marketing. Key high profile projects include The Pro
Football Hall of Fame, The 82nd.Airborne Museum, Huang Enterprises
and The Nut Tree, a California tourist attraction.
Jim
was hired as Director of Sales at Iwerks Entertainment;
a world leader in film based attractions, in 1993 and was
tasked to further develop the theme park, tourist attraction
and museum markets. While at Iwerks, he worked on projects
for Dollywood, Daytona USA, Kevin Costner's Dunbar Resort
and spearheaded the development of a joint venture strategic
partnership between Iwerks and Dave and Busters, a publicly
held family entertainment company.
Since leaving Iwerks in 1996 to re-establish his consulting
practice, Jim has consulted on projects for Silver Dollar
City Corp. (now Hershend Family Entertainment), The Yorktown
Victory Center and has since teamed with Imagic Inc. of
Atlanta on several entertainment and attraction concepts.
